LiHong Wei, MD, attended Shandong University School of Medicine in China, and received her medical degree in 1983. In 1991, she came to the United States as a Research Visiting Scholar, Department of Environmental Medicine at NYU Medical Center. Following her research position, she became a Graduate Student and Research Assistant, Department of Pharmacology at NYU. Dr. Wei completed her internal medicine internship and residency at NYU Langone Hospital in Brooklyn, NY, formerly known as NYU Lutheran Medical Center (1996-1999). In addition, she completed a fellowship training in hematology-oncology at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City, NY (1999-2002). Dr. Wei received board certification in internal medicine, medical oncology, and hematology from the American Board of Internal Medicine. She remains in good standing with the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
